She first made an appearance on stage on Imtiaz's Rockstar in the role of Ranbir Kapoor in 2011. Mona Ghosh Shetty dubbed her voice due to her lack of Hindi skills. Nargis Fakhri was born September 20, 1979, from Queens, New York City, United States to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri. Aliya is her younger sister. Her mother Marie Fakhri and father Mohammed Fakhri are both Czechs. At the age of seven years old her parents separated. The father of her was killed a few short years later. Her mother Marie Fakhri is a former police officer. Nargis believes she is a Global Citizen because of her mixed ethnicity of Pakistani and Czech as well as American nationality. The career of Fakhri began as model for fashion in the year she turned 16. In the time she lived with her partner within Copenhagen, Imtiaz wanted to meet her in Prague as a result of her role in the film Indian film. Nargis Fakhri began dating actor Uday Chopra in 2014. In 2017, the couple split. In May of 2018, she wrote on her Instagram profile that she was dating American filmmaker and director Matt Alonzo. The couple split at the beginning of 2019. Presently, she's dating American chef Justin Santos. Nargis was ranked 73rd in Forbes india's list indian stars for 2014.
