Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. From there to starring in a minor role in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. The transition was difficult for Amy since she needed change from modeling to performing. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy had a determination to be successful and was eventually offered larger roles beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into lead roles in the 2005 romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing for over a decade. She then worked on several of the most famous movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
